The Rights of Internal Security Forces in the Laws of Iraqi and the Kurdistan Region
##plugins.themes.bootstrap3.article.main##
Abstract
The rights of individual members of the internal security forces are recognized in both material and non-material aspects. These include entitlements such as salaries, healthcare, allowances, promotions, and various financial benefits, as well as retirement rights like pensions and end-of-service rewards. Regarding non-material rights, they consist of different types of leave, special administrative orders, recognitions, and other related privileges.
All these rights are organized and regulated by various legal texts, particularly the laws related to the service affairs of internal security forces, and the general unified laws governing the public service sector. This research aims to explain and examine these rights by defining their nature, eligibility criteria, timeframes, and the procedures for exercising them. It also considers the specific context of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, ensuring that these rights are aligned with local legal frameworks. Furthermore, it emphasizes that the concerned authorities must implement these laws properly to guarantee the enforcement of these rights.
