Implementation of Techniques and Stamps of Playing the Oud in Iraqi Music

Abstract

History of its emergence, important stages in the development and progress of the device and its methods among different civilizations, according to successive periods of history. It also discusses the characteristics, role, position and artistic characteristics of this instrument in various cultures and civilizations of oriental music. It also highlights the playing style, characteristics and stamp of playing of different schools of oud and the important changes that in the twentieth century on the hands of great oud players such as Sharif Mohiyen Haider and his students in the technique and performance of oud. He also discusses the characteristics of this instrument and its role and importance in the history of Kurdish music. It begins with the history, characteristics, importance and role of the instrument in oriental music and then goes on to advanced playing techniques This research "Implementation of Techniques and Stamps of Playing the Oud in Iraqi Music" aims to scientifically reveal all the hidden artistic aspects of the oud. To that end, he has highlighted aspects of the and different playing styles of the instrument. This paper attempts to provide a comprehensive view about the characteristics of oud performance styles, both technically and in terms of expressive and playful aspects. The study also attempts to bridge the role of this instrument between cultural authenticity and artistic contemporary, so that it is able to balance with contemporary musical developments while maintaining its authenticity.
