The impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market in 2024 in the city Erbil, an applied study on municipalities

The research seeks to study the impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market in the city of Erbil for the year 2023-2024. It is an analytical study of the opinions of municipalities. Artificial intelligence is distinguished as an independent variable that has two (2) dimensions, which are (training and development, suitability), and the labor market is represented as a dependent variable.

The study found that there is no positive moral correlation between artificial intelligence and the labor market. The study recommends the necessity of expanding the use of artificial intelligence applications to develop administrative work and advance municipalities to a better level of service provision

In order to reach the goal of the research, two approaches were used (descriptive and analytical). In the descriptive approach, municipalities were described and identified, although the number of municipalities were (6), questionnaire form were distributed to them and was adopted as a tool for collecting data and information. Then we developed a hypothetical model based on a set of hypotheses, including:

1- There is a positive moral impact, and that artificial intelligence works to create job opportunities.

2- There is a statistically significant impact of the dimensions of artificial intelligence on the labor market.

3- There is a statistically significant impact of artificial intelligence on the labor market.

4- The extent to which municipalities in the city of Erbil practice the dimensions of artificial intelligence.

The second analytical approach is based on analyzing the data and information collected quantitatively, which is digital analysis, by relying on mathematical and statistical relationships and equations and utilizing them to analyze the results.
