Abstract

The title of this research is devoted to (Metrical Phonology) in the Kurdish language, and it is worth saying that the generative phonology in order to allow it to have more accurate access to the topics of vocal syllables and level of melodies with him the framework of the word tonal phrases. The research is divided into two sections: in the first section, we delve into the details of the theoretical frameworks for transversal phonology. And as a complement to science of autosegmental such as the length of the segments and the length of syllable within the framework of perceived words, based on opinions that were said in this regard and put forward. The Kurdish language presenting the most important results from the research, elaborating the reference is the end of the research.
