Abstract

This study aims to identify the causes of the student’s dropout in education and it is impact on the students, Families and societies. In addition, associating it with the gender by indicating the similarities and differences of causes and reasons behind the increased number of male and female dropout in the education sector of Kurdistan Region. The study is based on a quantitutiv research methodology, using a secondary data in the ministry of education of Kurdistan Region on the student’s dropout.


The study mainly fourd that: the causes of student’s dropout, which it can be attributed to two main reasons. First reasons related to the student’s personal problems such as psychological, physical or mental problems. Second reasons related to the schools, society or economic problems.
