Techniques for Designing Newspaper Websites: portals (Khabat، Middle East، the New York Times International) for example, Descriptive analytical study between (1/1/2025 to 31/3/2025)

Abstract

This study is a scientific attempt to analyze and compare the appearance of the three electronic newspaper websites that the researcher worked on on computers، to understand the methods and techniques used in their design. The researcher attempted to present the principles، characteristics، standards، conditions، laws، and scientific methods related to newspaper website design. To identify Kurdish website designers، the researcher conducted a scientific study on newspaper website design techniques، so that website designers work with scientific information. He identified the features that make a website attractive. The researcher relied on a descriptive analytical approach. The study aimed to identify the general techniques، styles، and structures، and the extent to which designers rely on multimedia in websites، and to highlight the similarities and differences between them. The scientific community of the study is newspaper website design. The research example is the three websites (Khabat، Asharq Al-Awsat، and The New York Times International). To gather information for the study، the researcher used a shape analysis model to analyze the appearance of the websites' homepages. The researcher reached the following conclusions: Khabat's website relies weakly on new design techniques، unlike the other two websites. Khabat has a simple، classic، and consistent style، with no changes، unlike the other two websites. Khabat's website is weak in its reliance on new design techniques. The other two websites focused on newer technologies. All three sites are structured the same way using sections (head، body، bottom).
