Abstract

Sadness is widely recognized as one of the most significant psychological phenomena, exerting a profound influence on both the heart and mind. Although sadness manifests as a relative emotional response, it enhances the artistic and structural value of literary texts. Consequently, this research, titled. The Phenomenon of Sadness in the Book (Naway Nakhm) by Ibrahim Ahmad Shuan*, aims to analyze various dimensions of grief. The study provides precise examples to illustrate how different forms and types of grief are reflected in the text, including national grief, humanitarian concerns, social grief stemming from injustice and systemic corruption, persistent sorrow, the loss of childhood, personal sadness, deception, separation from loved ones, nostalgia, and the poet's internal struggles. Finally, the conclusions, refreences and Arabic and English abstracts of the research are pressentd.
