The Need Of A Faculty Member In Private Universities In The Kurdistan Region Of Iraq For Training In Scientific Research Skills

Abstract
The study identifies the research skills that the faculty members in the private universities in Kurdistan Region of Iraq need to be trained on, moreover it identifies which aspects of research skills are more needed, so it aims to develop a list of scientific research skills for training faculty members in private universities, to identify the extent of needs for training in research skills for faculty members in the private universities and to identify if there are significant differences in the extent of the needs for training in research skills for faculty members in private universities according to the fields of training, and among the universities. The researchers used the analytical descriptive method in the collection, classification and processing of the data for this study. Based on the monitoring of many theoretical and empirical studies the researchers prepared a list of the research skills a cording to which faculty members should be trained, the list contained 44 research skills, the researchers also designed a questionnaire consisted of 44 items allocated on the six dimensions. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire were checked. The questionnaire was implemented from 15 April to 6 May 2019. The study sample was chosen randomly, it covered 50% of the private universities in Kurdistan Region. The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used for the processing of the studies data.
