The role of Kurds in Baghdad during the 3rd-7th centuries AH/9th-13th centuries CE is considered one of the important topics in scientific research, especially among medieval historians. Several special aspects of civilization have remained undiscussed during this period. This research focuses on several historical topics related to the role of Kurds in Baghdad, particularly in the judicial sector, governmental departments (diwans), and Kurdish representatives in Baghdad, as well as the personalities and families who played roles in this field. The research also examines how Kurdish individuals were represented in Baghdad's institutions, especially during the Abbasid Caliphate.
Within the framework of the historical texts discussed in this research, it becomes evident that Kurds played significant roles in administration in Baghdad across various ranks and positions. Kurds were not limited to a single administrative field but rather held several high and diverse positions and performed successfully in them. In the context of this topic, "The Administrative Role of Kurds in Baghdad in the 3rd-7th centuries AH/9th-13th centuries CE" was chosen as the title of the research.
