Types of Family Neglect on Adolescent Delinquency : Theoretical analytical research

Abstract

This research highlights the forms of family neglect on adolescent delinquency. In society adolescents face several different forms of neglect, such as neglect (physical, health, environmental, emotional and psychological, educational, supervision and control) especially by fathers, which often poses a risk to their development and behavior, and becomes a catalyst for adopting illegal behaviors to compensate for the deficiencies in their lives. The main objective of the research is to examine the different forms of family neglect and also the role of these forms in adolescent delinquency. Thus, the research problem presents itself in this question: What are the forms of neglect, and what is their role in adolescent delinquency? The importance of the research is an attempt for scientific analysis of the phenomenon of delinquency that has emerged as a result of family neglect, and another importance is that it contributes to enriching the library of social sciences on this topic. This research is a theoretical analytical study, so it attempts to present the phenomenon of family neglect in the form of fathers' negligence in providing the material and spiritual needs of adolescents related to delinquency and abnormal behavior, on one hand, on the other hand it attempts to make a realistic reading of the topic through presenting previous research related to this topic, along with presenting the views of sociological theorists for better understanding of the phenomenon. From the main results of this research it has emerged that fathers' negligence in giving love and affection, and weakness of supervision and accountability in how time is spent outside the home, and not giving importance to knowing companions, and negligence in providing material needs such as (food and drink, appropriate clothing, necessary and healthy living space, providing necessary daily expenses), are the main reasons for adolescents ' approach to the sphere of delinquency.
