Abstract
The role of women in preserving Kurdish folk songs and music is no less important than the role played by men in transmitting Kurdish heritage and folklore between generations. Women have been a key figure since ancient times who were able to carry Kurdish folk songs and traditions in their hearts and memories, pass them on to children and future generations, and ensure the continuity of this heritage. Women's participation is not only to preserve Kurdish music and songs, but also as part of them. They are the creators of art most of the time.
