Literariness and Social Dimensions in Some of the Proverbs and Maxims from Mizuri Region

الملخص

Every nation has its own proverbs and maxims, which have emerged through lifelong occurrences and experiences, reflecting as such the habits, thoughts and mindset of such people meanwhile enriching their life with lessons and morals. On the other hand, such proverbs and maxims, some of which are written in poem and others in prose, carry social dimensions and implications.

As its title suggest, the present paper, ((Literariness and Social Dimensions in some of the Proverbs and Maxims from Mizuri Region)), is an attempt to shed light on the literary aspect and the social implications of the maxims and proverbs at usage in Mizuri territory.

The study comprises two sections: Section one examines the literariness of the abovementioned points, shedding light on some definitions of proverbs and maxims; as well as distinctions between them. The researcher has also illustrated the social dimensions of such proverbs and maxims, highlighting the geographical boundaries and the specific style of usage at such territories.

Section two is a practical attempt to demonstrate the applied side of the literariness and social dimensions of selected maxims and proverbs from Mizuri Area.
