Analysis of spatial variability of the distribution of hotels in the city of Erbil using GIS techniques

Abstract

Today, geographical research is witnessing a steady development in the field of Information Technology and multiple and diverse software; where the technology of GIS geographic parameter systems and its software is one of the most important modern technologies with great capability and high ability in Dealing with multiple data and information in the geographical field.

The study aims at the geographical analysis of the distribution of hotels in the city of Erbil using GIS Geographic Information Systems; as well as the number and date of opening, the class and size of hotels and the extent to which they correspond to actual reality. The study relied on the statistical method of data analysis in order to obtain the best results using GIS technologies, in particular based ArcGIS 10.8 .v and spatial analyst methods
