Feminist Theory and Woman’s Statuse in Contemporary Society

Abstract

The Emergence of Classical Feminist Theory Back then The Development of Western Political Theory in The Nineteenth Century. Especially Between The 1830s and 1930s. It Coincides with The Emergence and Development of Sociology.  A Group of Women Theorists in Europe and the United States Have Actively Involved in Identifying and Analyzing Social Phenomena and Problems. Their Contribution to Science Were no Less Than Those of Men Theorists. Of Those Who Have Made Significant Contribution of Feminist Theories Such as: (Mary Astell 1666-1731), (Mary Wortley Montagu 1689-1762), (Mary Wollstonecraft 1759-1797), (Abigail Adams 1744-1818).  Currently, Many Different Theories from Different Cultures are Present in Contemporary Feminist Discourse. This Paper Focuses on these Theories and Their Roles in Enhancing the Status of Women. They Have Been Able to be Equal to Men in Society in Terms of Duties and Rights. What Feminists Have in a Goal of Raising the Status of Women in Society. This Rise is Never at the Expense of Declining the Status of Men, But Equality Between Them.
