Deviation of Meaning in Amin Shnoy’s Poetry

Abstract
This paper is under the title “Deviation of Meaning in Amin Shnoy’s Poetry”, which is an academic endeavor to show the aberration of meaning which is seen in Shnoy’s poetry. The first part of the paper sheds light upon the term and concept of Deviation, the division of meaning and the Deviation of meaning in the language of poetry. The second part of the paper discusses Deviation in Amin Shnoy’s poetry and sheds light upon several sub-topics including: deviation in overstatement (quantity), paradox, attribution and depiction. In conclusion, in the Kurdish Language and Literature different terms have been used to express the concept of deviation. Thus, it shows that the Kurdish critics, despite their different views, had the same views about deviation of meaning in terms of content. In addition, the use of deviation of meaning in poetry was to break the stable rules of the normal language and show a language which is different from the language of speech. Thus, deviation was to break the rules of language from the inside. On the other hand, Shnoy’s poetry carry the characteristics and language of his era. Through reading his poems, the uncommon language system of his poetry is seen by using the kinds of deviation. Finally, the paper states the concluding points of the study and cites the references.
