Dominant gender as a criterion for the identity of the genre of a text: For example : in the texts of (Tal'at Tahir)

الملخص

The dominant element, as a critical term, was established primarily by Roman Jakobson, who belonged to the Russian Formalist movement. This research investigates the role and position of this term as a criterion for determining the genre identity of literary texts. The research is a practical analytical effort examining the texts ("He Goes Leaving Me Behind," "Gift upon Gift," "Abdullah with Earrings") from Talat Tahir's collection "Those Wheat Flowers That Became Brooms," where critical analysis is performed focusing on the dominant elements within these texts. Based on this term, the study attempts to classify the texts and identify their genre identity, as the poet (Talat Tahir) has not defined the identity of his texts and has left it to Kurdish literary critical discourse. This lack of identity in the texts has even caused readers to doubt whether these texts are literary or not. For the verification and analysis of the texts, the research has utilized Jakobson's concept of poetic dominance and contemporary stylistic methodology.
